Design, build, finance and operate two schools on behalf of the South Eastern Education and Library Board in Northern Ireland

The Bangor and Nendrum Schools project is a 32 year concession to design, build, finance and operate two schools on behalf of the South Eastern Education and Library Board in Northern Ireland.

The new schools are located on two sites in Bangor and Comber, Northern Ireland and have capacity for 1,800 pupils.

Financial close was achieved in September 2006. The schools were constructed between 2006 and 2008 by McLaughlin & Harvey, under a £31 million fixed-price contract.

The schools have been operational since April 2008.  Bilfinger Ireland Facilities Services provides both the Hard and Soft FM services and lifecycle obligations to the project.
