Finance, construct, operate, and maintain health and social care infrastructure for Community Health Partnerships Limited

HICL has an indirect investment in Birmingham and Solihull LIFT Ltd (“BaS LIFT”), one of the 49 LIFT companies established as part of the Department of Health’s national Local Improvement Finance Trust (“LIFT”) programme. BaS LIFT has an average 27 year contract to deliver health and social care infrastructure to NHS and local authority clients.

Recent additions to the BaS LIFT portfolio include Sparkbrook Community and Health Centre with accommodation for local NHS and Birmingham City Council services. The range of facilities in the portfolio continues to diversify with the new Birmingham Dental Hospital and Birmingham Community Assessment and Treatment Centre for Adults with Learning Disabilities currently in development.

BaS LIFT covers the Birmingham and Solihull area and since inception in 2004 has delivered 18 new or improved state-of-the-art facilities, as well as a number of property consultancy projects to map the estates requirements of local healthcare providers. Construction has been carried out using a number of construction partners; the capital cost of the facilities has been approximately £65 million.
