Finance, construct, operate, and maintain two secondary schools for the London Borough of Newham

The Newham Schools BSF project is a 27 year concession to finance, construct, operate, and maintain two new secondary schools on behalf of the London Borough of Newham Council, as part of Newham Council’s Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.

The new schools are located on two sites in London and have capacity for 2,200 pupils within a built up area of 21,000 sqm.

The schools were constructed by Laing O’Rourke under a £53 million fixed-price contract between 2009 and 2010 and have been operational since June 2010.

Mitie PFI Limited provides both the Hard and Soft FM services and lifecycle obligations to the project.
