Finance, construct, operate, and maintain two primary and two secondary schools for Sheffield City Council

The Sheffield Schools project is a 26 year concession to finance, construct, operate, and maintain two new primary schools and two new secondary schools for Sheffield City Council.

One of the secondary schools, the Westfield School, also included the development of a swimming pool and other leisure facilities for community use and was officially opened by Gordon Brown in May 2007.

The project reached financial close in April 2006. Construction was undertaken by Kier Regional Limited, with capital expenditure of £52 million.

The schools became operational in January 2007. Soft and Hard FM services are being provided by Kier Facilities Services Limited under a long- term FM contract.
